larisaycl’s Steamed Egg
A low effort, high comfort dish
Ingredients
- 1 egg
- dashi stock
- mirin
- soy sauce
- mushrooms (optional)
Instructions
- Measure 100ml of dashi stock
- Add a dash of mirin and soy sauce
- Beat an egg into the above mixture
- Sieve the mixture into the bowl for steaming
- Place bowl in steamer / pot with steaming rack and water on low heat
- Steam till solid. When mostly solid, add mushroom slices on the top then steam till mushrooms are softened
- Serve with steamed rice or steamed broccoli
