This is a quick, healthy and tasty curry. Can be eaten with rice or indian breads

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Wash lentils. Soak it in double the volume of water for 2-3 minutes
  2. Cook them in a pressure cooker
  3. Transfer the cooked lentils in a pan. Add some water if they are too dry
  4. Add turmeric, salt and chilli powder. Stir well and bring to a boil
  5. While the lentils are simmering, prepare the ‘tadka’
  6. Heat another pan and add oil
  7. Add mustard and cumin seeds. Wait till they crackle
  8. Add the garlic and green chilli
  9. Once the spices start breaking down and giving a nice smell dunk the mixture in the lentils
  10. Give the entire mixture a slight stir.
