Diptiman’s Mom’s_EasyChicken Recipe:
Ingredients:
- 1 pound Chicken
- 5 cups of Water
- Raw Spices: Cinnamons, Cardamoms, Black Pepper, Bay leaf
- 6 Tbsp of Mustard Oil
- 5 Tbsp of Ginger Garlic Paste
- 1 Tbsp of Coriander Powder
- 1 Tbsp of Turmeric Powder
- 1 Tbsp of Garam Masala Powder
- 1 Tbsp of Salt
- 1 Tbsp of Sugar
- 0.5 Tbsp of Red Chilli Powder
- 5 Tbsp of Curd
- 1 Big White/Yellow Onion (Coarsely Chopped)
- 1 Big Tomato (Coarsely Chopped)
- Vinegar and Rose Extract
Instructions:
- Mariante Chicken using Ginger Garlic Paste, Coriander Powder. Turmeric Powder, curd and 1 Tbsp of Mustard Oil.
- Refrigerate for 10-12 hours.
- Fry the raw spices with 3 Tbsp of Mustard Oil in a pressure cooker on medium flame until the fragnance comes.
- Add sugar and fry lightly until it just melts.
- Then add the chopped onions and tomato with 2 Tbsp of Mustard Oil and 1 cup of water , fry just till the raw smell vanishes.
- Add the marinated chicken with 2 cups of water and stir the mix for 5 minutes.
- Use a lid for the pressure cooker and stir the mix in intervals of 5 minutes for 3 times.
- Add the remianing two cups of water and close the pressure cooker’s lid.
- Allow 3-4 whistles depending on the chicken.
- Allow the vapour to come out naturally, then open the lid and add the vinegar / rose extract.
- Serve and enjoy with your family and friends !!
