Olivia Li’s Baked Nian Gao

This dessert is super easy to make and one my mom taught me. It has a mild coconut flavor, a soft, chewy texture, and the perfect amount of sweetness.

Ingredients

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375F.
  2. Line a 9x13 pan with parchement paper and a little bit of oil or butter.
  3. Mix together the oil, coconut milk, eggs, and milk.
  4. Add in the flour, sugar, salt, and baking powder.
  5. Mix thoroughly until the the batter is smooth.
  6. Add the batter to the pan.
  7. Bake for 40 to 45 minutes. The top should be a nice golden color.
