Amber’s Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies
Wet Ingredients
- 2 sticks unsalted butter
- 1 cup dark brown sugar, packed
- 1/3 cup white sugar
- 2 large eggs, room temperature
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Dry Ingredients
- 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1-2 tsp espresso powder
- Chocolate chips (whatever kind/amount you prefer)
Instructions
- Mix the sugars together until combined.
- Put the butter in a pan on low-medium heat and stir until brown. Let it cool off before adding it to the sugar. Mix on high for about 1 minute.
- Add eggs and vanilla extract and mix on medium-high for about 2 minutes or until color turns lighter.
- Put all dry ingredients besides chocolate chips in a bowl and whisk them together until combined.
- Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients incrementally while mixing on low. Once just combined, add chocolate chips and fold them in.
- Rest dough for an hour minimum.
- Bake at 375 degrees for about 10-14 minutes or whenever the edges of the cookies are golden brown.
